RYA Weekly Stage 2 in Optimists » Sunday Weekly Stage 2

On completion of their Stage 1 course, children will move onto the stage 2. Here they will learn to sail upwind, control their speed, learn parts of the sail, rope work and basic rules of the road.

This course will take place as 12 x 2hr weekly sessions in optimists. Please note the term start at finish dates at the time of booking.

Course Prerequisites: RYA Youth Stage 1 certificate - Those that are not able to produce this certificate will not be allowed to join on to the course, and course fees will be lost

Timings: 3.30pm till 5.30pm on Tuesday & 1.00pm till 3.00pm on Thursday

Minimum Age: 7 - 11

Afterschool classes continue as normal during the mid term break - 17th till 21st February 2019.

Ability after course: Children should be able to tack and control boat speed, as well as understand the principals of sailing
