RYA Optimist Stage 1 for children aged 7 - 11 » 8 - 9 March 2019, 10:00 - 16:00

This is the first step to sailing for young children, they will discover a basic understanding of how a boat sails, and will cover launching and recovery, steering, handling and parts of the boat. Children age 7 - 11 will learn to sail in optimists, those that are 11 - 15 will learn to sail in Pico's. Please ensure that you are booking onto the correct age group for your child.
Course Prerequisites: None - non members children under the age of 8 must participate in a one day taster session prior to signing up for this course
Minimum Duration: 2 days
Timings: 10am till 4pm on both daysMinimum Age: 7
Ability after course: Able to steer and understand basic principles
