RYA Diesel Engine Course (Evening)
The RYA Diesel Engine Course is designed to give yachtsmen the confidence and skills to be more self-sufficient. Over two evenings, youll learn the fundamentals of diesel engine operation, become familiar with the key systems and components, and practice fault-finding and rectifying common issues. The course also covers routine maintenance and essential winter lay-up procedures.
Training includes demonstrations with a cut-away engine as well as valuable hands-on practice using a working yacht engine, so you can see exactly how everything functions in real life.
This is an essential course for all sailors — a solid understanding of diesel engines could save you time, money, and potentially your life. On successful completion, you will be awarded the RYA Diesel Engine Certificate.
