Take your sailing skills to the next level with our Intermediate Sailing Course
Perfect for students who have already completed a beginner course or have some prior sailing experience, this course is designed to build on foundational knowledge and help young sailors
Course Overview:
- Builds on the basics learned in beginner-level sailing
- Focuses on improving technique, boat handling, and control
- Introduces more advanced skills such as sail trim and manoeuvring in varied wind conditions
- Encourages independent sailing and decision-making
- Enhances understanding of sailing theory, including wind awareness and basic navigation
Outcome after term: RYA Stage 3 or 4 certification.

Duration: 12 weekly sessions
Term Dates: 17th Sep, 24th Sep, 1st Oct, 8th Oct, 22nd Oct, 29th Oct, 5th Nov, 12th Nov, 19th Nov, 26th Nov, 3rd Dec, 10th Dec (12 Weeks) - No Session on 15th October
Session Length: 2 hours each
Day: Every Wednesday
Time: 4:00 PM 6:00 PM
Important Notes:
- This is a fixed weekly term; all sessions must be attended. Make-up sessions are not available, regardless of the reason for absence. Please refer to our T&Cs for details.
- Cancellations or postponements of the entire course must be submitted in writing to DOSC at least 60 hours before the course start date.
