Build on your foundational skills and take your sailing to the next level with our RYA Adult Dinghy Level 2 course. This practical, hands-on course is ideal for those who have completed Level 1 and are ready to sail with greater independence and confidence.
Course Overview:
This course consolidates your Level 1 skills while introducing new techniques and expanding your knowledge of sailing in a variety of conditions. You'll refine your boat handling and gain the ability to sail independently in light winds.
What Youll Learn:
- Rigging and launching more efficiently
- Improved sailing techniques and boat control
- Sailing upwind and downwind with more confidence
- Man overboard recovery
- Coming alongside and basic ropework
- Sailing in a controlled manner around a course
Course Details:
- Duration: 2 Days
- Timing: 10:00 AM 5:30 PM
- Minimum Age: 14 years
- Prerequisite: RYA Dinghy Level 1 or equivalent experience
- Instructor to Student Ratio: 1:6
- Outcome: Able to sail a dinghy in light winds without instruction
