The RYA stage 3 course is the final youth course before children are able to sail by themselves. Here they will learn about rigging, launching and sailing in any direction. Children age 8 11 will learn to sail in optimists, those that are 11 15 will learn to sail in Zest's. Please ensure that you are booking onto the correct age group for your child.
Course Prerequisites: RYA Youth Stage 2 certificate - Those that are not able to produce this certificate will not be allowed to join on to the course and fees will be lost.
Minimum Duration: 3 days
Timings: 10am till 4pm on all 3 days
Minimum Age: 8
Ability after course: on successful completion, children should be able to launch and sail a dinghy around a triangle in moderate conditions
