Optimist Weekly Stage 1

This is the first step to sailing for young children, they will discover a basic understanding of how a boat sails, and will cover launching and recovery, steering, handling and parts of the boat.

This course will take place as 11 x 2hr sessions (Monday).

Course Prerequisites: None

Age Group:6 years old to 9 years old

Timings: 4.00pm till 6.00pm Every Monday

Term Dates: 11th Sep, 18th Sep, 25th Sep, 2nd Oct, 9th Oct, 23rd Oct, 30th Oct, 6th Nov, 13th Nov, 20th Nov, 4th Dec (11 Weeks)

Ability after course: Able to steer and understand basic principles

Please Note:

*There is NO afterschool classes during half term break - 16th - 20th October 2023 & National Day Week 27th Nov to 1st Dec 2023

*All boats need to be off the water at sunset
