RYA Weekly Stage 1 in Optimists » Tuesday - Stage 1

This is the first step to sailing for young children, they will discover a basic understanding of how a boat sails, and will cover launching and recovery, steering, handling and parts of the boat. Children age 6 - 11 will learn to sail in optimists, those that are 11 - 15 will learn to sail in Zest's. Please ensure that you are booking onto the correct age group for your child.

This course will take place as 13 x 2hr weekly sessions in optimists. Please note the term start at finish dates at the time of booking.

Course Prerequisites: None

Timings: 3.30pm till 5.30pm on designated day

Minimum Age: 7 - 11

Ability after course: Able to steer and understand basic principles
