Join us for a practical morning clinic designed to enhance your confidence and control when manoeuvring a yacht in close quarters — a critical skill for any aspiring skipper. This session is tailored around the prevailing local weather and marina conditions, offering hands-on experience in essential boat handling manoeuvres.
This is an ideal refresher or skills-enhancement session for sailors looking to improve their docking and marina manoeuvring techniques.
Course Content Includes
- Side-to mooring techniques
- Close-quarters manoeuvring in the marina
- 360° and 180° turns in confined spaces
- Mediterranean-style mooring
- Introduction to lazy lines and anchor drop for stern-to mooring
- Simulated practice of all the above techniques with instructor guidance
Time: 9:00 AM 12:00 PM
Pre-requisites: Participants must have completed at least one of the RYA cruising courses — from RYA Start Yachting up to the RYA Day Skipper Practical course.
