This session focuses on practical sailing techniques and seamanship — ideal for those looking to build confidence on open water.
Whether you're preparing for independent chartering or simply refining your core sailing skills, this session provides valuable, real-world experience under instructor supervision.
Course Content Includes:
- Raising and setting the mainsail and genoa
- Sail trim techniques for optimal performance
- Understanding and applying points of sail
- Man Overboard (MOB) recovery procedures
- Anchoring methods and best practices
- Overview of flotilla crew responsibilities and the process of bareboat chartering
Time: 1:00 PM 4:00 PM
Pre-requisites: Participants must have completed at least one of the RYA cruising courses — from RYA Start Yachting up to the RYA Day Skipper Practical course.
