Spinnakers Course
This course is designed for sailors who want to master the art of sailing with a spinnaker whether you're cruising leisurely or racing competitively. While spinnakers are beautiful to watch, they can be tricky to handle without the right knowledge and confidence.
At DOSC, our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of using this colorful, speed-enhancing sail. By the end of the course, you'll feel confident being part of a fully-crewed boat, flying downwind with the spinnaker set perfectly.
What you will learn:
- Rigging the spinnaker
- Preparing for the hoist
- The hoist
- The drop
- The gybe
- Trimming and tuning techniques for maximum performance
Course Details:
- Duration: 1 day
- Timings: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Pre-Course Requirement: Completion of the RYA Start Yachting Course

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations or postponements of the entire course must be submitted in writing to DOSC at least 72 hours before the course start date.
