Optimist Start Racing
7th January - 24 March 2020
Once your young sailor has completed the RYA Stage 3 course, the next step would be the optimist start racing sessions. Here we will be focusing on developing basic racing skills and experience in preparation for joining our DOSC Race Squad.
The syllabus includes, preparing for a race, boat setup, starting, tactics/strategy, boat handling around the race course and rule awareness/compliance.
Course Prerequisites: RYA Youth Stage 3 or Stage 4 certificate
