Our weekend Learn to Sail courses run by term, with Optimist intermediate having the Sunday afternoon schedule, to utilize the winds and build confidence. 

RYA Stage 3 will be taught only in an optimist boat, which is the final youth course before children are able to sail by themselves. Here they will learn about rigging, launching and sailing in any direction.

We want our students to love sailing, so there will be lots of games, challenges, and activities which promote the love of the water and confidence in their abilities.

Additionally, this course will serve as a pathway towards joining the Optimist Race Squad

Course Prerequisites: Stage 2

Duration: 3 hours, every Sunday of the term.

Timings: 14:00 - 17:00

Term Dates : 23rd Feb, 2nd Mar, 9th Mar, 16th Mar, 6th Apr, 13th Apr (6 weeks)

Minimum Age: 7

Ability after the course: RYA Stage 3

Please Note: No Sessions on 23rd March & 30th March 

Student/s who are booked on this weekly fixed weekend term will need to attend all sessions, and kindly note that no makeup session/s are offered if student/s missed any session/s regardless of any reasons. Please refer to the T&Cs for reference.

Once booked, cancellation or postponement of the whole course has to be informed to DOSC in writing at least minimum of 48 hours prior to the course start date.
