Weekly RYA Level Courses » Weekly RYA Level 1 - Monday

You are invited to join in on a weekly group sailing at DOSC learning a new skill and obtaining your RYA certification over the 8 weekly sessions.

This course provides an introduction to sailing for novices. By the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of dinghy handling techniques and background knowledge.

Course Prerequisites: Water confident

Duration: 8 Weeks

Timings: 10:00 - 12:00

Schedule Dates: 

• Every Monday 8th Jan, 15th Jan, 22nd Jan, 29th Jan, 5th Feb, 19th Feb, 26th Feb, 4th Mar (8 weeks)

Minimum Age: 14

Ability after course: Able to sail in light winds under supervision

Instructor : Student Ratio: 1:6

If you are not able to make 1 of the sessions, the session is lost and there is no make up session.

Please note that there is no session on the week of 12th - 16th February due to the SB20 World Championship

Once booked, cancellation or postponement of the course has to be informed to DOSC more than 48 hours prior to the course date booked.
