Learn to Sail - Seamanship Skills - open to everyone

Duration: 2nd April till 4th April

Timings: 10pm until 4pm

Pre-requisite: RYA Stage 4 Certificate

- Boat Handling & Maneuvering: Reefing afloat, sail backwards, rudderless sailing, center board less sailing, man overboard, perfecting tacking and jibing. 

- Knots & Ropes: fishermans bend, rolling hitch, sheet bend.

- Sailing Theory & Navigation: interpret forecast, Beaufort scale, tides, basic charts.

- Safety & Emergency Procedures: Learn how to handle a range of emergency scenarios and always sail with safety in mind.

Please Note:

Student/s who are booked on this youth camp will need to attend all the sessions, and kindly note that no makeup session/s are offered if student/s missed any day/s in the camp regardless of any reason. Please refer to the T&Cs for your reference

Once booked, cancellation or postponement of the whole camp has to be informed to DOSC in writing at least minimum of 48 hours prior to the camp start date.
